Exterior
	Based on styling cues from the groundbreaking Toyota FTX concept pickup truck, Tundra's unwavering stance commands respect from any angle. Substantial, powerful, innovative, consider this truck "Super-sized" in all the places that matter.
	Styling With its "Power Of The Fist" design concept, the Tundra thrusts forward with aggressive character lines that work to create a chiseled fit and finish ... elevating Tundra's appearance well beyond the average work truck. From the brawny trapezoidal grille, to the barbell-like profile, this bold design leaves little doubt of Tundra's immense capabilities.
	Dimensions Measuring 629 cm (247.6") long, 203 cm (79.9") wide, and a towering 193 cm (76.1") tall [4x4 Double Cab Long Box], Tundra's monstrous dimensions were designed with one goal in mind: to set the benchmark for Full Size pickups around the world. In fact, if Tundra was any wider, it would require running lights!
	Truck Bed Tundra is available in 3 bed lengths: 5.5 feet, 6.5 feet, and 8.1 feet. Tundra's Long Box can handle a 4'x 8' sheet of plywood between its wheel wells. That's Big. Equipped with Toyota's versatile Bed-rail Utility System that's home to a long list of cargo-carrying accessories. To top it off, Tundra offers a Removable Locking Tailgate complete with hydraulic assistance for ease of operation with just two fingers.
	Size With Purpose Tundra is sized with purpose. Big, wide, standard 18" Wheels keep things grounded while Tundra's giant headlights create a wide beam for improved visibility. Door handles are extra-large to allow operation with a gloved hand. Even the Heated Extendable Towing Mirrors, now standard on selected models, were designed with expansive surfaces to help keep a clear eye on precious cargo. 	Truck owners know that a Full Size pickup is more than just a set of wheels. It's a tool, an office, a sports locker, and a sanctuary all in one. Tundra delivers the goods on all fronts with unmatched interior volume, easy-to-operate controls, tons of storage, and comfortable seating that flips, folds flat and reclines into countless configurations. When it comes to interior features the only thing Tundra is short on, is limitations.
	Command and Control Inspired by FTX's ergonomic interior design, Tundra employs a true "Command and Control" approach to instrument layout. Gauges are bright, well spaced and easy to see. Control knobs are kept close at hand, and sized for easy operation without removing your gloves. Tundra truly puts the driver front and centre, keeping your attention where it belongs: on the task at hand.
	Storage A glove box large enough for a full-size thermos. A centre console boasting a unique Hanging File Folder System with enough room left-over for a full size laptop. Rear Seats that fold flat, and flip up to reveal durable Under-seat Storage Bins. Overhead Compartments to keep safety, reading and sun glasses well within reach. 	Seating Tundra's Crewmax offers a mountain of interior volume, with enough head room, leg room and shoulder room for a full size crew - complete with hard hats, protective wear, and bulky exterior clothing.

	Technology The modern world demands a Full Size pickup that has the brains to balance the brawn. In true Toyota fashion, Tundra has evolved to become a technological powerhouse. Beginning with an available Bluetooth Compatible JBL Audio System offering a 6-Disc CD Changer and up to 10 Speakers. Add on an auxiliary input for portable MP3 devices, an optional Back-up Camera with Wide Screen for a clear view when hitching up or backing out, an HVAC system that is more efficient and quieter than past Toyota Trucks, and Tundra's Power Tilt and Telescopic Steering Wheel.

Engine
	Capability is the true measuring stick for Full Size pickups. And it all starts with the heart and soul of every truck: the powertrain. Under the hood, Tundra offers up two torque-heavy, fuel-conscious engines, intelligent transmissions, and the extra-duty cooling and electrical systems to keep it all running smoothly. The result is a Full Size pickup with a blend of power, acceleration, and fuel efficiency that could only come from Toyota.
	4.7L I-Force V8 This lean, mean 4.7L 8 cylinder 32-Valve DOHC I-Force Engine utilizes Toyota's patented Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence (VVT-i) and churns out 271 Horsepower while generating 313 lb-ft of torque.
	5.7L I-Force V8 Toyota's 5.7L 8 cylinder 32-Valve DOHC I-Force Engine boasts the largest displacement of any engine in Toyota's history. This ferocious power plant pumps out a whopping 381 Horsepower and 401 lb-ft. of torque, while maintaining superior fuel efficiency thanks to technologies like Toyota's Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence (VVT-i) and Sequential Multi-port Electronic Fuel Injection.
	Transmission Mated to the 4.7L I-Force V8 is Toyota's trusted 5-Speed Automatic Super Electronically Controlled Transmission (Super ECT). The 5.7L I-Force V8 is governed by a 6-speed Automatic Super ECT Transmission that provides effortless shifting even on uphill grades. Both enjoy the support of a standard Transmission Cooler System, as well a Transmission Oil Temperature Gauge standard on some models.
	Towing and Payload With a maximum payload of 860kg (1,900 lbs.) and a towing capacity of 4895 kg (10,800 lbs.) it's safe to assume that if the 2008 Tundra can't move it, it wasn't meant to be moved. Tundra also works smart, with Extendable Heated Towing Mirrors, a combination 4-pin / 7-pin Connector and Class IV Weight Distribution Tail Hitch integrated right into the rock-solid frame.

Handling
	Inclement weather. Treacherous driving surfaces. Heavy loads. It's all in a day's work for a Full Size pickup and Tundra handles it without breaking a sweat. From its heavy-duty construction, to the support of smart technologies like Vehicle Stability Control and Traction Control, Tundra leaves truck experts with only one conclusion: Tundra doesn't simply talk the talk--Tundra walks the walk.
	The Frame Constructed from improved tensile strength steel, Tundra's heavy-duty frame utilizes the rigidity of Closed-channel Side Rails near the front wheels to create an unshakable foundation, while employing Reinforcements and C-flanges to the Open-channel Side Rails near the bed to limit deformation in areas where body twist and energy absorption are key. This translates into a smooth, secure ride.
	Suspension In front, Tundra employs an adapt-and-conquer Double Wishbone Suspension System with Coil Springs, Gas Shock Absorbers and Stabilizer Bar. In the rear, Tundra utilizes sure-footed Heavy Duty Multi-Leaf Springs, and Bias Mounted Gas Shock Absorbers for added stability when under load. For those taking Tundra off the beaten track, snap on a set of optional Bilstein Shock Absorbers all around to add a little more support for off-road conditions.

	Auto LSD Mode When activated by the driver, the Auto Limited Slip Differential (LSD) Mode takes advantage of Tundra's Traction Control system to help control wheel spin, working to free the vehicle when one of the drive-wheels is not in contact with the ground, or to enhance take off on uneven or roll-resistant surfaces, like sand.




	VSC and TRAC Standard on all models, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRAC) work in unison to monitor both wheel speed and traction under various driving conditions, providing the precise amount of power and brake force at precisely the right time to help control steering and wheel spin on uneven or slippery surfaces.

Safety
	Unpredictable driving conditions confront Full Size pickup drivers on a daily basis. That's why Tundra takes the old adage "safety first" to heart, with an impressive complement of both active and passive safety features developed and refined to help protect occupants--and their cargo--like never before.
	Brakes Heat-dissipating 4-wheel Ventilated Disc Brakes with 4-piston Heavy-duty Calipers work tirelessly to provide optimal stopping power, even when towing. The Power-Assisted Anti-lock Braking System with Brake Assist and Electronic Brake Force Distribution helps reduce stopping distance and maintain vehicle control on virtually any driving surface.
	Seatbelts When the unexpected happens, Tundra helps to protect with standard 3-point Lap and Shoulder Belts for ALL positions, with adjustable B-Pillar Shoulder Belt Anchors for front passengers of just about any size.



	Airbags Tundra raises the bar with a Supplemental Restrain System (SRS), including standard Roll-sensing Front and Rear Head/Side Curtain Airbags, and Front Seat Mounted Side Airbags for the driver and front passenger.
	TPMS Low tire pressure can bring down fuel efficiency, and increase the chance of a blowout, especially when towing or hauling heavy payload at high speeds. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) employs tiny sensors inside each wheel to monitor tire pressure and illuminate a warning light on the dash if tire pressure drops below the prescribed pressure range.
